The films follows two European journalists a Dutch Photojournalist and a British foreign correspondent as they cover an environmental story centred on the Virunga National Park DRC.

‘Stories Behind Our Foreign News’ is a behind-the-scenes look at how some of our foreign news is made. It forms part of a wider documentary video research project that critically examines the political economy of international news flows, the cultural and professional practices of journalists and how ‘news’ is constructed as a product for consumption.
